In almost all of the online social networks I joined, I use either my initials or nrcudis, which can be pretty boring but easy to remember, given my awful memory gaps. So for Multiply, I decided to add up something not so many people know. My baptismal name. Anna. I never really like it and I never chose to use it. After all, it's not a "required" name.

When my mother brought me to the church for my baptism, or so she told me, our priest--may God bless his soul--wanted a Christian name tagged to my first name, in the same way as the other babies who were baptized under him. I guess you can call us--me, specifically--victims of manipulation. It wasn't really a cool idea, you know. So at the last minute, my sensitive mother came up with the simplest and most common name she can think of--Anna--and placed it after my first name whose history I will never know.

So there. Nancy Anna. Ugh! In one way or another, I guess we'll just have to deal with it. And wish each other a pleasant day!
